City reminds residents of planned electricity supply maintenance in parts of Bellville

The City advises residents in Bellville that the upcoming critical electricity supply interruption for infrastructure maintenance will take place on Tuesday, 28 October 2025 from 07:30 to 16:30. Please note that the work will no longer proceed on Saturday, 25 October 2025 as originally communicated. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the essential maintenance is being carried out.

It is important to note that the interruption to supply will only impact the highlighted areas on the maps and only on the relevant date. The work will be carried out from 07:30 to 16:30, if all goes to plan.

Impacted areas in Bellville include:

• Kanonberg

• Oude Westhof

• Van Riebeeckhof

• Welgedacht

• Protea Valley

Please note:

The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned maintenance work. Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding.
